The National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a youth-oriented community service programme launched by the Government of India with the motto “Not Me, But You.” The scheme aims to develop the personality and character of students through voluntary community service, social awareness and nation-building activities. NSS encourages students to actively participate in programmes related to education, health, environment, disaster management, social welfare and community development, thereby promoting leadership qualities, discipline, empathy and social responsibility among young citizens.

Following the ideals and objectives of NSS, the NSS Unit of Dibru College has been actively involved in various extension and community-oriented activities for the benefit of society and holistic development of students.

Through continuous participation in NSS activities, students have been sensitized towards social responsibility, gender equality, ethical values and community welfare.
