About the Department
Established in the year of 1972 with Dr. Ashit Kumar Dutta as the founder Head, the
Department of Zoology is one of the well acclaimed and oldest departments of the pioneer Dibru College. The department has been offering Bachelor’s degree since its inception and standard honors program since 1992, under Dibrugarh University.
The department has a glorious past with contributions from many excelled faculties, who have nurtured, educated and dedicated their time and work in strengthening the output for the college. Currently, the department has four dedicated faculties committed to continuing the excellent records and academic reputation left behind by the retired faculties.
The department boasts of its excellent graduates who have secured University Ranks, qualified National Level Entrance Tests line, IIT JAM, Pursuing higher educations in reputed Educational Institutions across the country. The department also takes pride in its star alumni who are currently posted under different Government and Non-Government sectors.
The department is equipped with ICT Classrooms, departmental library, laboratory that provides for a good teaching-learning environment. The faculty, students, laboratory assistants, bearers are working together to maintain and excel the Academic graph of the department.
