About the Department
The Department of Geography at Dibru College was established on 1st August 2024, marking a significant addition to the institution’s academic landscape. The department commenced its journey with 30 major students enrolled in the B.A. 1st Semester, laying the foundation for a vibrant learning community.
Our curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both physical and human geography, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications such as field surveys, map interpretation, and geospatial analysis. The department is committed to fostering critical thinking, environmental awareness, and analytical skills among students, preparing them for diverse career paths in education, research, planning, and environmental management.
With dedicated faculty and a student-centered approach, the Department of Geography at Dibru College strives to nurture curiosity about the world, encourage research-oriented learning, and contribute meaningfully to society through academic excellence.
