Introduction

The Department of English was established in 1963, concurrent with the founding of the college.
Initially, it offered only Arts faculty courses. Science and Commerce streams were subsequently introduced between 1970 and 1974.
It boasts a team of experienced faculty members specializing in diverse areas of English literature and language studies.
The Department offers comprehensive undergraduate programs designed to foster critical thinking and analytical skills.
Additionally, the Department maintains comprising 300 books and journals.
