The Dibru College NSS Unit was reintroduced in the year 2005 vide resolution No.6 (IV) of the GB meeting held on 03/05/2005 and Mr. Prasanta Kr. Borah, Department of Economics was appointed as the Program Officer of the unit. Since its inception, the NSS unit has been actively doing various awareness activities such as plantation drives, cleanliness drives, health camps, blood donation camps, disaster management programs, road safety awareness programs, Covid19 vaccination and awareness programs, etc. under its regular activity as well as Special Campaign program at the college campus and it's adopted villages. Many NSS volunteers of the unit participated in various National, Regional and State level programs held in different places of the country from time to time and received certificates. On the basis of his performance, the Program Officer of the unit Mr.Prasanta Kr Borah received the State Level NSS award for the year 2020-21 from the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Govt of Assam and in the same year the Program Officer also received the Best Program Officer award from Dibrugarh University for his outstanding contribution and dedication.
